A Taiwanese man has become the first person to finish nearly everything in the popular online game World of Warcraft, according to an online report.

The MMO Champion website reported the man’s character “Little Grey” is the first to complete every achivement in the game.

A Tauren Druid called ‘Little Grey’ has 986 out of 986 achievements on his armory page, along with *deep breath* collecting 100 mounts, 75 pets, completing every quest, visiting every location, and defeating every boss.Along the way he’s virtually slain 390,895 creatures and died 8,543 times while completing 5906 quests, an average of 14.6 quests per day. That means he’s played for about 400 days.

The historic achievement has a tad bit of controversy however, since he’s technically missing a recently released achievement.

2K Games Announces February 9, 2010 Global Street Date for BioShock(R) 2 – 2K Games PR

Sequel to the winner of more than 50 Game of the Year Awards marks the arrival of one of 2010’s most highly anticipated titles

2K Games announced today that BioShock(R) 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2007 Game of the Year, will be available worldwide beginning February 9, 2010. The game is now available for pre-order at participating retailers.

Currently in development for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows(R) LIVE, BioShock 2 will deliver two unique, yet intertwined experiences that form the perfect blend of explosive first-person shooter combat, compelling storytelling and intense multiplayer action.

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival.

Multiplayer in BioShock 2 will provide a rich prequel experience that expands the origins of the BioShock fiction. Set during the fall of Rapture, players assume the role of a Plasmid test subject for Sinclair Solutions, a premier provider of Plasmids and Tonics in the underwater city of Rapture that was first explored in the original BioShock. Players will need to use all the elements of the BioShock toolset to survive, as the full depth of the BioShock experience is refined and transformed into a unique multiplayer experience that can only be found in Rapture.

BioShock 2 is currently in development at 2K Marin in collaboration with 2K Australia, Digital Extremes and 2K China for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows(R) LIVE. BioShock 2 will be available worldwide on February 9, 2010. This title is not yet rated by the ESRB.

With the Sony PSP GO getting ready to go into New Zealand stores October 1st there is real concern overseas about the digital format to be used to obtain games on the much improved looking handheld console.

Some overseas retailers are thinking long and hard about even stocking the new device given they have been cut out of the picture when it comes to software. The PSP GO has no UMD capacity so any games, themes etc are all digitally downloaded from the PSN store onto the new device’s 16 gig flash memory and thus retailers will miss out on what is generally thought to be the actual profitable part of the retail gaming business; selling games.

One major UK retailer has already said they will not stock the PSP GO and a spokesman commented

“Sony has decided to cut publishers and retailers for the software of the PSPgo and deal direct with developers, giving them a 70 per cent margin for any items sold on Sony PSN. I believe if they had lowered that to 50 or 60 per cent, and given the opportunity to online retailers, it would have enjoyed greater success and retailers would attempt to promote the console to the market.”

VGNZ will continue to watch this development closely to see how it pans out in NZ. On the other hand be in quick to get your PSP GO and you will be given the new Gran Turismo PSP game digitally for free.

IGN have rated the game 6.8 calling it passable. That is a slightly disappointing review for the team here at VGNZ.

By the sounds of it the biggest let down has been the presentation of the game, which doesn’t even include career mode or any sort. Could this possibility be true or have IGN gone out and reviewed the non-finished product?

The basic mechanics of the 1st game and the soon to be released 2nd are in the smaller version…running, jumping, hiding, fighting, stealth etc
