$499 for the 3D vision glasses and USB receiver. but you'll also need a compatible screen which can be a CRT monitor with a refresh rate of 100Hz ($20 on trademe) or 120Hz LCD which there are currently only 2 available one made by Samsung and the other by Viewsonic both are 22″ with a 1680×1050 resolution (and about $599) or there is a 42″ and 50″ 3D compatible Plasma TV made by Samsung which also works(model:PS50B450 got mine for $1997).
It will work with pretty much any DirectX based 3D game to varying degrees. Some special effects have to be turned off fo best effect such as shadows in Colin McRae Dirt because they do a strange flickering.
It can also be used to watch 3D movies currently very limited in selection (biggest budget movie being Spy Kids 3D) but should be compatible with newer 3D movies such as the Pixar's UP and Jame's Cameron's Avatar depending on when the BDA settle on 3D standards for Blu-rays .
